Founding Story
When Dr. Matt began treating patients, he realized something surprising: the biggest obstacle to better health wasn't a lack of information—it was too much of it.
Patients arrived overwhelmed by conflicting advice, trendy supplements, and marketing promises that rarely delivered real results. Many left appointments motivated to make changes but unsure who or what they could trust.
Dr. Matt founded Dr. Wholeness to change that.
His mission was simple: help people cut through the noise, build sustainable health habits, and use supplements only when they genuinely fill a need, not because they're the latest trend.
That philosophy eventually led to the creation of Blood Vitality.
Iron deficiency was one of the most frustrating issues Dr. Matt treated. He would reassure patients that restoring their iron stores should be straightforward and that they could begin feeling more energized within weeks. Instead, many returned discouraged after experiencing heartburn, nausea, bloating, constipation, or black stools from the very iron supplements that were supposed to help them. Finding an iron supplement that patients could both tolerate and absorb became nearly impossible.
So he decided to create one himself.
Blood Vitality wasn't created because the market needed another supplement. It was created because his patients needed a better solution.
The need for a better iron supplement became even more personal when Dr. Matt's wife became pregnant with twins.
She needed an iron supplement that could raise her ferritin levels without the digestive discomfort and unpleasant side effects she'd experienced with other iron products.
Blood Vitality helped increase her ferritin over the following months while avoiding the constipation, upset stomach, and black stools she had come to expect from traditional iron supplements.
That experience reinforced what Dr. Matt had hoped from the beginning: an iron supplement could be both effective and gentle.
Blood Vitality has helped countless patients restore their iron stores while avoiding many of the digestive side effects commonly associated with traditional iron supplements. For Dr. Matt, it has never been about creating supplements for the sake of selling supplements. It's about giving people products he can confidently recommend to his own patients and helping them build a healthier life with solutions grounded in clinical experience rather than marketing hype.
